Batman and Robin, Romeo and Juliet, apple pie and custard. Some things just go well together and become more than a sum of their parts. When the two Toms met on a sun-drenched Warrington business park back in 2014, something clicked and the seeds of iAM were planted.
They began working together at Learning Heroes and were involved in the acquisition of that business into CallidusCloud. It was at this point that a germ of an idea began to sprout. After being involved in content activities across EMEA, US, and APAC as part of SAP Litmos, they decided it was time for something different in the world of eLearning.
The mission was quite simple (they always are, right?). Turn digital learning on its head, go back to basics, and disrupt the eLearning industry. Not that simple, then. Anyway, they wanted to restore the secret ingredients to learning that had been missing for far too long: content that focusses on application not theory, the learner having fun (yes you heard correct) and a better way to consume content #DeathByPowerPoint
In 2019 iAM Learning was born. Since then, we’ve seen explosive growth. We’re talking mushroom clouds here. The secret? The Tom’s decided they’d only create learning content they’d enjoy themselves and make a difference to how people learn. They took all the best bits from their past adventures in eLearning, added a dash of storytelling, a pinch of expert learning design, a bucketload of high-quality animation and produced something from the oven of inspiration that was lip-smackingly good.
Since 2019 we’ve created literally hundreds of bespoke courses utilising animation and resources for customers, partners, and marketplaces around the world. The collective years of experience the Toms and the rest of the iAM team have gained working and innovating in the learning industry, means we understand what resonates with learners and drives change. We focus on quality over quantity which means you get the best of everything; content, user experience and animation.
And the Toms? Well, they’re still here. They’re still passionate about the business, but more importantly, they want to improve the learning landscape and leave it in better shape than they found it. You can be sure that right now, they and the team are thinking of even more ingenious ways to make learning content. Hey! What do you mean you prefer cream with your apple pie?
We have a team of people who are passionate about creating the best learning possible. Some say there's more magic happening in this team than a Harry Potter movie - we just say we're slightly crazy and creative.
