CDM Regulations

Remember the days in your youth when you’d build brightly-coloured brick houses? Whilst those experiences might have stood you in good stead for your future career, modern construction is a little more complicated. That probably goes without saying, and the same is true of the fact that construction projects can be dangerous, and that procedures and working practices need to be regulated. No matter what your role is in the project, you have legal duties under the CDM regulations, and this course will help you understand what they are. Handy, right?

When we set about planning this course, we quickly realised it was going to be a “major development” – to borrow a construction industry term. The CDM regulations is a huge topic not only in terms of scope, but also in terms of importance. It is the very foundation of industry compliance, and yet many people involved in construction are a little fuzzy on the details. The challenge for us was how to make things nice and clear, and to give a slightly bland subject a bit of e-learning sizzle.

With input from subject matter experts, our script development team collaborated with our instructional design team to establish a solid framework: interactive sections delivering core information, supported by animated video sections with a relatable case study storyline. Remember, all this comes under the roof of iOSH approval: with 3 separate quizzes, learners are given a proper and thorough assessment.
