If you work with any kind of chemical or harmful substances, then you need to know how to do that safely, and how to store them correctly. This course will help you to understand the dangers of working with chemicals and harmful substances and teach you the right way to do it.
You shouldn’t work with chemicals without knowing what you’re doing first. And we’re not just talking about lab chemicals either: even cleaning substances can be extremely harmful if misused. This course explains what chemicals and harmful substances are, helps to identify the dangers, and describes the best ways to work with them safely.
“Say my name.” His name is Walter White… or Heisenberg. If you haven’t already seen Breaking Bad you probably should. It’s about a terminally ill chemistry teacher who changes career and starts manufacturing recreational drugs in his camper van. Unfortunately, the substances he created were very, very harmful. Not to mention highly illegal.
Your job probably isn’t quite so hazardous, or as illegal, as Walter White’s. You don’t have to be a drug dealer to work with chemicals and harmful substances though. Many jobs need access to them, and most workplaces store them. They can be very dangerous to work with, so learning how to handle and store them properly is essential.
As fans of the show ‘Breaking Bad’, we thought a course that covered how to handle chemicals would be an ideal match. The phenomenal success of the show means that many learners will be familiar with the concept, and therefore would become engaged with the content.
It’s one of our favourite courses to date because not only is it visually stunning, with our trademark tongue in cheek humour, but the theme is conducive to knowledge recall. We’ve filled the course with interactive elements and knowledge checks, so learners can learn at their own pace. And a full, IOSH-approved rotating question bank at the end tests that knowledge fully.
This course also has an assessment at the end which allows learners to test their understanding and helps businesses demonstrate a level of competence in the topic.
With a bank of questions learners will get randomised assessments which means if people do fail the assessment, they aren't faced with the same quiz again; after all you want to test learners knowledge and not their ability to remember the right button to press second time around.
Everyone has the right to learn and learner need can vary demanding on environment or disabilities. This course comes with transcripts so people have text options for an media, subtitles for all videos and is screen reader friendly with alternative text.
We take a number of steps to ensure visuals and navigation is easy for your people. For more information on the steps we take for accessibility check out how we make out courses.
You’ll have your own questions and challenges in your business, so we’d love to show you more and answer any questions. We’re excited to show you specific courses you’re interested in, or run you through more of our off the shelf eLearning courses.
