What is a mental health crisis? This school-specific course explores how staff can recognise signs of crisis, respond calmly in the moment, and follow safeguarding reporting and recovery procedures afterwards. You’ll look at practical ways to reduce distress and help pupils regain a sense of safety. Also, you’ll learn when to involve safeguarding leads, families, and external services, and how reflection and follow-up can help prevent future crises.
Although this course is designed for schools, it could be useful to anyone who wants to know how to respond to a mental health crisis.
