Allegations against Adults who work with Children
This course is designed to be school-specific content, but you may find it of use. It’s uncomfortable to think of an allegation being made against someone working at your school or college. But if it happens, designated safeguarding leads, members of the board of governors and members of the senior leadership team need to know how to proceed. This course will explain all you need to know.
Learning outcomes:
- Differentiate between accusations that may meet the threshold for harm and low-level concerns, so you can make sure all are appropriately addressed
- Recognise how to respond to different levels of concerns and allegations made against adults working with children

This safeguarding course is school-specific content, but will help you recognise the different levels of concerns and allegations, in line with the guidance laid out in Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE.) It’ll also help you respond to low-level concerns and allegations that may meet the threshold for harm swiftly and appropriately.
