KCSIE - Keeping Children Safe in Education

Keeping Children Safe in Education

Keeping children safe in education, commonly known as KCSIE, is statutory guidance that schools and colleges in England must follow. It relates to safeguarding students and prioritising their welfare. It’s updated regularly, to make sure it supports everyone working in the relevant environments to protect students from harm. This course will explain what’s required of you when it comes to safeguarding children in your care.

Learning outcomes:
  • Identify what’s covered in the five parts of KCSIE, so you can locate
guidance to support you with specific responsibilities and concerns
  • Recognise the key changes made in the KCSIE 2023 and 2024 updates, to keep your approach to safeguarding children in line with current statutory guidance
