The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, also known as Martyn’s Law, helps venues plan for the possibility of a terrorist attack. It applies to schools and can help you create a safe, protective environment for staff and students. This course will help you understand the special considerations in place for educational premises. It’ll also explain what you need to do to make sure your school complies with Martyn’s Law.

- Recognise the special considerations in place for educational premises, so you understand how the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025 relates to your school
- Identify what you need to do to make sure your school complies with the legislation and maintains a safe environment for staff and students
What is Martyn’s law? If you work with children, you’ll need to know. This Martyn’s law training course will introduce you to the special considerations that apply to schools. You’ll also learn what steps you need to take to prepare for a terrorist attack. This will allow you to make sure plans and processes are in place to protect students and staff.
Although this course has been designed to be school-specific, those working with children in any capacity will find it useful. If you’re the designated Responsible Person, this course will help you comply with Martyn’s Law for schools.
