Keeping Safe - Understanding Martyn’s Law


The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, also known as Martyn’s Law, helps venues plan for the possibility of a terrorist attack. It applies to schools and can help you create a safe, protective environment for staff and students. This course will help you understand the special considerations in place for educational premises. It’ll also explain what you need to do to make sure your school complies with Martyn’s Law.

  • Recognise the special considerations in place for educational premises, so you understand how the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025 relates to your school
  • Identify what you need to do to make sure your school complies with the legislation and maintains a safe environment for staff and students
