Safeguarding in the Curriculum
This course is designed to be school-specific content. Integrating safeguarding throughout the curriculum in schools or colleges is vital to the creation of a holistic safeguarding culture. - Identify ways to include Spiritual, Moral, Social, and Cultural development (SMSC) in the curriculum, to make sure it’s at the heart of learning throughout the educational environment
- Recognise how to promote fundamental British values in the curriculum, to meet the Department for Education’s current guidance
This course, designed to be school-specific content, will help school staff empower students and recognise the importance of embedding safeguarding throughout the curriculum. You’ll learn how to explore Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural development with students. And you’ll explore how to promote fundamental British values.
Creating a safeguarding curriculum is a task that involves all teaching staff, including the senior leadership team, teaching assistants, and the designated safeguarding lead, so this course is ideal for those roles, as well as anyone who deals with children in their job.
