Developing Emergency Procedures (Bolt On)


Emergencies can happen at any time. This course gives you the tools to plan, prepare for, and respond to them. That means everything from creating clear emergency plans and PEEPs to training staff and reviewing what to do afterwards, to keep everyone safe. Emergency procedures are a critical part of keeping everyone safe in your school or MAT.

Learning outcomes:
  • Describe how to create and implement Emergency Action Plans and Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans, to safely respond to emergencies
  • Explain how to prepare staff for emergencies and communicate with all stakeholders to equip them to respond to emergencies safely
  • Identify the necessary actions to take after an emergency has occurred, to reduce its impact on individuals, and ensure emergency procedures are effective
