Dyspraxia (DCD)
In a neurodiverse classroom, you’ve got to recognise the unique strengths and needs of individual students. Young people with Developmental Coordination Disorder (dyspraxia) require tailored support to help them participate and learn alongside their peers. If you’ve ever asked yourself ‘what is dyspraxia?’ or ‘what does dyspraxia look like?’, this course will help you identify dyspraxia and adapt teaching techniques to support dyspraxic students.
Learning outcomes:
- Describe symptoms of dyspraxia, to be able to identify students with typical indicators and support them effectively
- Adapt teaching techniques to effectively educate students with dyspraxia
- Identify inclusive strategies to encourage learning for students with dyspraxia
This school-specific course will explain what dyspraxia is and the signs to look out for. By following the advice in the course, you’ll be able to use strategies and techniques to support students with dyspraxia in your classroom.
