Greening the School Culture
This course is designed to be school-specific content. Greening your school’s culture means integrating sustainability into everything the school does. This includes the school’s daily operations, curriculum, and overall ethos. By bringing together students, teachers, staff, parents, and the wider community, you can transform your school’s ecological footprint. But more than that, you can inspire the whole school community to commit to building a more sustainable future.
Learning outcomes:
- Explain the theoretical foundations of sustainable practices and how a change in sustainability will help create an eco-friendly school community
- Assess the school's current environmental impact and develop a customised greening strategy to address areas of concern
- Describe how you can develop an action plan to help your school and wider community contribute to a greener school environment
