Data Breaches

You might think that all data breaches are down to criminals that hack into our personal data and sell it for profit. Well, that’s not entirely true. Data can be leaked accidentally, or simply misplaced too. All leaks can have serious consequences. The good news is, with proper care and responsibility, we can cut down on these incidents. This course has been designed to help keep personal data safe.

Who should take this course?

Integrity and confidentiality of data is one of the cornerstones of the UK data protection regulation, GDPR. Basically, if you fail to adequately look after the personal data you process, you can expect some serious consequences. But it’s not just Data Protection Officers that need to pay attention. If we handle data in our roles, from customer names to more sensitive data, we all have a responsibility to keep it safe.
