This course is aimed at employers who have employees (or use contractors) who drive a vehicle at work (including motorcycles and bikes). The guidance it offers will also be useful for the self-employed. It covers the legal responsibilities that must be considered, and outlines steps you can take to assess the health and safety issues that arise for employees on the road. By managing these issues effectively, you can reduce the risk of traffic accidents.
Not only can effective management of work-related road safety reduce the risk of your employees being harmed, it also reduces your risk of being fined or prosecuted. This training takes you through your responsibilities: firstly to identify and assess the safety risks posed by driving at work, and then to implement methods of risk reduction. By the end of the course, you’ll be able to compile a health and safety checklist for your business to follow.
Did you know that a quarter of all road traffic accidents involve someone who’s driving as part of their work? From a lorry driver to a bike courier, any employee using a vehicle for work faces risks on the road. No matter if your company uses a single delivery van or a whole fleet of limousines, effective management of work-related road safety is essential. Failure to comply with health and safety law can put your workforce at risk of harm, and it can leave you exposed to hefty fines. It’s vital that you establish clear health and safety procedures, and check they’re being followed.
When developing the script for this course, we imagined a future where there are no safety risks on the roads, or the airways. Vehicles will be driverless, and everything will be controlled by computers. Of course the learning in this course applies to the here and now, where there are people behind the wheel or the handlebars. But why not add a bit of futuristic spice with a Bladerunner theme??
Using such a familiar theme helped lift the production value of this course – we couldn’t resist adding all those extra little touches and meta-references for our learners to enjoy. Feast your eyes on the artwork and animation while you absorb the key guidance this training offers, supported by interactive breakouts and a quiz bank of rotating assessment questions so learners have to know the answers to pass. This course is approved by the worlds’ biggest H&S organization, IOSH.
This course also has an assessment at the end which allows learners to test their understanding and helps businesses demonstrate a level of competence in the topic.
With a bank of questions learners will get randomised assessments which means if people do fail the assessment, they aren't faced with the same quiz again; after all you want to test learners knowledge and not their ability to remember the right button to press second time around.
Everyone has the right to learn and learner need can vary demanding on environment or disabilities. This course comes with transcripts so people have text options for an media, subtitles for all videos and is screen reader friendly with alternative text.
