If you’re taking drugs or just thinking about it, then this course is for you. But let’s face it, everyone should know the truth about drugs. Drug abuse and addiction are a big problem. It can also be very easy to get drawn into the world of substance misuse. So, the more knowledge you have, the better you’re equipped to make the right decisions.
Do you know your lucy from your charlie, or your mandy from your tina? If you don’t, then you should, because they’re not your friends. In this course, you’ll learn how to spot different types of recreational drugs, and recognise the effects they have. You’ll also discover how to get help to stop taking drugs.
Do you remember Miami Vice? It was one of the coolest TV shows in the 80s. But what made it stand out was its hard edge. Scratch the veneer of fast cars, super yachts, and sunshine, and you saw a dark criminal underworld of gangs selling dangerous, hard drugs. Crockett and Tubbs, 2 tough undercover cops, worked tirelessly to clean up the streets of Miami. In the real world, drugs are still out there – and there’s a range of different types. They come in separate classes too, with slang names and a variety of side effects.
Dealing with substance abuse is difficult, and there’s a lot of information that needs to be delivered and remembered. So, to help do this, we chose a relatable theme, and used clever animation to assist with storytelling. The course also utilises a number of interactive menus to help the learner move at their own pace, as well as interactive knowledge checkers, so the learner can test their understanding throughout the course.
This course also has an assessment at the end which allows learners to test their understanding and helps businesses demonstrate a level of competence in the topic.
With a bank of questions learners will get randomised assessments which means if people do fail the assessment, they aren't faced with the same quiz again; after all you want to test learners knowledge and not their ability to remember the right button to press second time around.
Everyone has the right to learn and learner need can vary demanding on environment or disabilities. This course comes with transcripts so people have text options for an media, subtitles for all videos and is screen reader friendly with alternative text.
We take a number of steps to ensure visuals and navigation is easy for your people. For more information on the steps we take for accessibility check out how we make out courses.
