If you work in a building, which is pretty likely, you need to know how to enter and exit it safely. It might sound like something that you should be able to do with your eyes closed, but believe it or not there are a number of obstacles and dangers that you might encounter trying to get in or out of a building… Especially if you have your eyes closed. So, it’s probably best not to try that.
When is a door not a door? Okay, that might sound like the start of a terrible joke, but actually knowing your doors is an important part of getting in and out of buildings safely. In this course you’ll learn all about the different types of doors, and the normal use of doors and fire exits. You’ll also find out about the obstacles and dangers you could encounter getting in and out of buildings, and ways to navigate these more safely.
Ever been to an escape room? They’re like The Crystal Maze but just worse. They’re also a staple of a modern, work’s day out. Being stuck in a small room with your workmates for the best part of an hour might not seem like much fun, though. Some like it and some don’t. But as the idea is to escape, everyone’s happy eventually.
When you do finally escape and get back to work, you won’t want to face more obstacles. Throughout your working day, you’ll need to get in and out of rooms and buildings and even on and off site. If those entrances or exits are blocked or difficult to use, then that can be problematic or even dangerous - especially if they’re fire exits. That’s where this course comes in.
Because The Crystal Maze was iconic, and featured some pretty exciting doors, we thought that would be great inspiration for this course. But we didn’t want to stop there. So, we turned it into a maze inspired game. Learners must move through zones, testing their knowledge as they go, so they can reach the legendary dome. This challenge approach helps learners apply their learning straight away, helping to improve knowledge retention and confidence, and creating a memorable learning experience that’ll last.
This course also has an assessment at the end which allows learners to test their understanding and helps businesses demonstrate a level of competence in the topic.
With a bank of questions learners will get randomised assessments which means if people do fail the assessment, they aren't faced with the same quiz again; after all you want to test learners knowledge and not their ability to remember the right button to press second time around.
Everyone has the right to learn and learner need can vary demanding on environment or disabilities. This course comes with transcripts so people have text options for an media, subtitles for all videos and is screen reader friendly with alternative text.
We take a number of steps to ensure visuals and navigation is easy for your people. For more information on the steps we take for accessibility check out how we make out courses.
You’ll have your own questions and challenges in your business, so we’d love to show you more and answer any questions. We’re excited to show you specific courses you’re interested in, or run you through more of our off the shelf eLearning courses.
