Data protection is something everyone’s heard of now, but how often do you really think about it when it comes to protecting your own data online? This course explores practical ways of protecting yourself online and is suited to anyone who has an online presence – personally or professionally.
This course explores different online threats, and practical ways to improve cybersecurity. It’ll help you work more safely online, and guard against security breaches that may threaten your virtual world, as well as your real one.
We spend a huge portion of our life online. From work emails and online banking to iCloud and social media. Smart technology has even managed to invade every corner of our home lives too. Hi Alexa! Pretty convenient. But as technology advances, so do cybersecurity threats.
With cyberattacks becoming increasingly sophisticated, even the most secure environments are at risk. While our online world can be a fun one, the truth is that hackers and other cybercriminals are lurking in the shadows, out to get us, our data, and even our identities, at any given moment. Scary. But fear not, there are lots of practical steps you can take to make sure you and your organisation are protected and well versed when it comes to infection control.
Staying one step ahead of cybercrime can feel like being in an endless loop of Pacman, so when it came to choosing a theme for this course, the computer game loved by generations was an easy choice. But we wanted to go further than this! So we combined Pacman with The Matrix to transport the learner into a virtual world, where their online data becomes their game avatar. This helps to make the abstract concept of data footprints fun, but also relatable. Throughout the course, you’ll find interactive splash screens breaking the course up. This enables the learner to move at their own pace, and better retain the important information. You could even take each module between levels of your favourite computer game!
Everyone has the right to learn and learner need can vary demanding on environment or disabilities. This course comes with transcripts so people have text options for an media, subtitles for all videos and is screen reader friendly with alternative text.
We take a number of steps to ensure visuals and navigation is easy for your people. For more information on the steps we take for accessibility check out how we make our courses.
