When you think about it, sleeping is just many hours of your life wasted, right? You can’t get anything done when you could be catching up on work and those box sets you’ve been putting off. Plus, you’ll wake up with messy hair and in a pool of your own dribble. Really, who needs it?
Well, actually we all do. Sleep is essential to the way your brain and body functions. A good night’s sleep can make you healthier, both physically and mentally, and can make you happier, too. This course will explain the benefits of sleep and how you can best get your forty winks.
Sleep is necessary to help us store memory and recharge our batteries. We’ve got to learn to get it right. During the course you’ll be able to identify the health risks caused by lack of sleep. We’ll also describe some of the key mechanisms of sleep, and help you consider why you should change your sleeping habits. Finally, we’ll look at ways to help implement a better sleep-hygiene regime.

Lack of sleep can leave you feeling like a zombie. Shuffling around, going through the motions: it’s something we can all relate to. Plus, zombies are visually entertaining to look at, right? That’s why we added a slight zombie theme for this course, although we did end up toning it down a little for more sensitive learners than we had originally planned to avoid distracting from the learning.
Speaking of which: learning for this course came with our usual mix of cool animation and rich voiceover, alongside interactive elements and knowledge checks, so learners can go at their own pace. An image map has clickable elements which break out into mini scenes which explain how to sleep well, and this information is replicated as a cool infographic that learners can download and refer to regularly. It’s all capped off with a quick assessment so learners can be assured that the useful information has sunk in.
This course also has an assessment at the end which allows learners to test their understanding and helps businesses demonstrate a level of competence in the topic.
With a bank of questions learners will get randomised assessments which means if people do fail the assessment, they aren't faced with the same quiz again; after all you want to test learners knowledge and not their ability to remember the right button to press second time around.
Everyone has the right to learn and learner need can vary demanding on environment or disabilities. This course comes with transcripts so people have text options for an media, subtitles for all videos and is screen reader friendly with alternative text.
We take a number of steps to ensure visuals and navigation is easy for your people. For more information on the steps we take for accessibility check out how we make our courses.
You’ll have your own questions and challenges in your business, so we’d love to show you more and answer any questions. We’re excited to show you specific courses you’re interested in, or run you through more of our off the shelf eLearning courses.
